(a/n: Sorry the last page was bad, I was trying to do five things at once when I wrote it. But I'm not going to revise any until my 365 days are over. So thanks for baring with me, this page hopefully will be much better.)
She cleanin' by herself, Samuel gone off to do some other chore. I dunno whether that a good thing or not. By the ping in my heart, I think it a real good thing.A real, real good thing. She is wipin' the counter clean, a slight frown on her face, not even hearin' me when I come in. I hate to bother her, it makes me feel real low, but I need to get some answers from Lloyd and there ain't no way Miss. Lizabeth will let me ask anythin' important.
But I still feel bad, by the way her face looks, she thinkin' 'bout her dead husband. I want to force Lloyd out, and go to her, let her be done for the day. I wanna help her remember her husban'. But that ain't never gonna happen, 'specially now.

"What a lovely day," I murmur, still playin' the innocent card.
"Well, your daddy's got a lovely plantation."
I giggle, glancin' back at Cecile, who's trailin' behind us by a couple of feet.
"You sure are charmin'," I say, seein' that behind Cecile there ain't no one else. Now's my chance. "Why are you here? Who are you? Who is that man you was sittin' with? What do you want with me?" My voice is hard, and I stop walkin'. It was too many questions, but even if he jus' answers one, I dunno. Then I'll have a
