Nell and The Afterdark
There was a dresser with nothing on top of it and a bookshelf with only a few books.
A thought occured to Nell, and she checked her body quickly. Clothes were still on; she was relieved. Just because she trusted Derek didn't mean she trusted the Afterdark, she thought to herself. The girl felt that she had dodged a bullet.
Stealthily, she left his bedroom and trekked across the main room to where she had dropped her backpack. She retrieved her only set of spare clothes and ran to the bathroom, which was on the other far end of the building. She locked the door behind her on instinct and because she was still on edge from her last scare. Nell stripped down and jumped into the shower. The water was still cold, but she didn't care. It was clean.
