“Will you go with me?”
“Of course, baby.”
I let my eyes close. In the distance I heard an engine. It was getting closer to us, but I didn’t care. I would soon be gone where they could not reach me.
“You’re too late. She’s mine now. You can never take her from me again.” I heard him say just before the world faded to black.
