"Colossians 1:3 says ‘We always pray for you and we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all God’s people which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation every since you heard the truth of the good news’. I have heard about your faith! Don’t you want that? How cool would that be? Are people talking about what God is doing in your life? If you have faith it should be a living acting organism inside of you. GET OUT THERE PEOPLE! Strong faith is living and active. One thing I do is challenge myself. There are three letters in racing that you never want to get. D. N. F: did not finish. It goes on the websites, it gets printed in the newspaper; Mark Schilling DNF. That’s the worst. And I don’t want to go to heaven one day and open the big book of life and see Mark Schilling... DNF" he gives up a moment of silence so what he says can sink into our brains. Wow that like just plucked the inner most strings of my heart. I don’t want that to happen but it is going to happen if I don’t get moving.
"One thing I do is tell people about it. You need to tell people what you are doing so they can account for you and what you are doing. So you can’t say ‘In case I want to quit I don’t have people getting on my back about it’. Because if you really want faith to survive it has to be bold and loud so everyone knows it. Tell people at school that you are different. So when you have a bad day you can say to yourself ‘oh everyone’s expecting the new guy; I better hold the line.’ Some of you get lost on your path and get caught up in your past; it’s because your faith isn’t known. I encourage you to go public with your faith. GO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT IT! Raise your hand if you have ever been in a bad mood around people and someone comes up in your face and say ‘Dude hey why do you got a bad attitude, I thought you were a Christian!’ If you’re not raising your hands its because:1 you have told everyone and you have been perfect since then or 2 nobody expects much out of you in the first place." "Number 2, Luke 10:27 says ‘He answered ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’’ Next I want a faith that is all consuming. It’s and obsession. It’s an addiction. The more I get it the more I want it. How can I read more of the word today? How can I get in God's presence today? Who could I talk to today about Jesus? It’s messing you up. You see, when someone is an addict, a true addict they don’t give a rip about what you think. They may smell and they look funny but all they think about is ‘I gotta get hit man, I gotta get hit man, I gotta get hit man. Because there is one thing they care about and it is that stupid drug!
