"You need to start with the end in mind. What do you want the story to be told about you when you are dead? So here’s the deal to be effective today you have to plan tomorrow. How are you going to do it? You don’t get paid for being cool. That’s not how the real world works. You have to have pain today to get the pleasure you want tomorrow. What is God calling you to do? The way that you keep yourself grounded or keep yourself from falling away from faith is having a purpose! That’s deep right? The bible says that without vision, the people dwell carelessly, recklessly and you will wander into the wilderness and die. What is your purpose of this life? What is your goal? I talk to some people and they don’t even have a direction of where they want to go. And man these people are in trouble. As soon as you get a since of what you are living for it changes the way that you live. Paul said "I have discovered my purpose and it has kept me on track. You need to have vision for the finish line. Some of you are like "I'm sweating, I quit" Uh your on mile one buddy "Yeah but I didn’t know it was going to be this hard." You have to get something in your spirit to say I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON JESUS!" He is so right. What is my plan? I can’t give up on Jesus.
God I know that you have something special planned for me and I trust you to lead me there. God I want to live for you. I give you all of myself. Do with me what you will. I am willing to accept anything that you want me to do. Anything.
"Have a vision for the finish line. You have to have something in your spirit that says I will not quit on Jesus, there is no plan B. Number 2: keep the faith. How do you keep the faith? Well what does faith look like? If I were to ask some of you here if you have faith you would say oh yeah I have faith. But if I were to look at your life I would have to use a microscope to find it! Don’t you want to have faith that is clearly visible?
