Prologue
As I am getting ready to go on stage I can’t help to remember what life had been before. I never would have imagined my life the way it is now then. I can’t help but to praise God and all of his magnificence for putting me into the situation where I was and where I am now. I know that if I didn’t go through what I went through all those years ago I wouldn’t be traveling around the country saving people’s lives everywhere I go.
I quickly go through in my mind everything that I am going to say, my life story. I am here in Wisconsin speaking about what the awesomeness of God has done in my life here at the Ultimate Testimony Conference. It’s smaller than the others that I have been to but just as important to me and to God. As I hear my name called out I take a deep breath and go through the curtain. I am greeted by all of the teens. Alright God, let’s get started and rock some lives tonight.
"Hey guys how are you all doing tonight?" I am welcomed with a big roar of different answers. I can tell that they are excited to hear what I am going to say. I can see some of them look at me with weird expressions. I see them whisper to themselves behind their hands. It’s what I was expecting. It doesn’t hurt me anymore to see them do that; God had healed me of that pain long ago. "Well before I begin tonight I want to point out something obvious. I have a huge scare on my face." I see their eyes widen as I point out my very visible scar that drags from the left side of my forehead, down across my nose and across my left cheek, down to my chin. "I know you are all wondering why I have that. I am going to tell you don’t worry, but that’s later. I would also like to point out another obvious fact. I am pregnant; 8 months in fact." I hear shouts go across the auditorium. "But I am not here to talk about that. I am here to share my marvelous testimony that God has given to me. I am not here to have you give me your sympathy, but to show you that no matter how hard your situation is, God is always, always there for you. Even when you think he is not".
