"Correct sir." I say. Lucy rolls her eyes.
"Alright then, get started on the lab" Mr. Brady says then he turns and walks back to his desk.
"You heard what he said. Please I don’t want this to be a hate relationship here. We need to work together to get to our goal. And really if you need anything just ask me" I say. I look at her eyes. The hatred seems to have calmed down and go back to her regular guarded eyes.
Whatever, I’m just saying that this is not my thing and it is not the number one priority in my life she writes. I don’t want you expecting something out of me that you are not going to get. You must have pretty bad luck to be stuck with me and I am sorry for that but you are just going to have to live with it.
"Ok then. How about we compromise?" I say. She gives me a look. A look, a look that says "oh my gosh are you kidding me? Compromise? I don’t think so."
"Yes compromise. Let’s see here if you participate in class then.... then I’ll sit with you at lunch" I say. Yeah ill sit with her. It won’t be the worst thing in the world. Maybe she will soften up towards me and we maybe even might become friends. I don’t like how she sits alone.
If you haven’t noticed I sit by myself on purpose. I don’t want friends I am perfectly fine on my own with no one there annoy me when I want to be alone.
"Fine sorry that I suggested it," I say. I might as well get the lab done. Even if she isn’t going to help I’m still going to do it. The lab takes the rest of the class. And as she said Lucy didn’t do one thing to help. This is going to be harder than I thought. Why did I volunteer to help her if she wasn’t going to listen to anything?
