"I guess I’m just saying..." Seth starts. He doesn’t know what he was going to say because I caught him on his bluff. Now what are you going to do Mr. Smarty pants. "Ok let’s make a deal" oh man another deal/compromise, my favorite. "I will keep Derik away from you if you can learn your stuff. You don’t have to be perfect at it but I just want you to try. Deal?" Seth sticks out his hand. I might as well. He'll never leave me alone if I don’t.
"Alright" I say. I could have said no cause I know that he still would have been there for me to keep his goons away but I have nothing else to do so why not.
SETH
I can’t believe she is talking to me let alone compromising with me. The look on my face probable gave her the satisfaction she was looking for because she smiled then started walking again. Being friends with her is going to be fun. She likes to have everything done on her terms but every girl wants that. Lucy isn’t so different from everyone else than she thinks she is. But I do have to admit she does have her own turn on things. I wonder how she would feel in church. Lucy really needs God. I can tell by the way that she guards her eyes. She has been hurt badly and probably still is being hurt. I would like to think that she would actually like church. I look around. We are headed toward the front doors of the school. I grab her shoulder.
"Where are we going?" I say. Lucy turns to me. She looks at me up and down, purses her lips then gives a small wave. She leaves the building and walks up to the car that I guess is hers. "Wait you can’t just leave it’s the middle of the day!" I say.
"I told you. I don’t care about this place, I won’t ever. Now I am leaving for the rest of the school day. You can’t stop me so don’t try to." She says.
"So you are expecting me to just let you go?" She rolls her eyes and then nods her head. Before I can sign anything else she gets into her car and leaves. What am I supposed to do?
