Third Person exercise: project 365
“Here,” Andrew reached into the pantry and pulled out the last can of Raviolis that had been hiding in the back. He sent a smirk her way before pulling out a bowl from one of the cupboards and began cooking the contents in the microwave. As Alex's meals cooked, he began asking questions about her and occasionally commented whether he liked or disliked it and reasons behind it.

She had learned that he was, what her instructor would say, a renaissance man. She had thought that he was the perfect being; model, artistic, fluent in French, excellent student and extremely attractive. Alex froze as soon as the thought ran through her mind. She then became slightly suspicious of him. He was too could to be true.

“The only problem that I have,” Andrew began “is that I’m too nice.”

“Too nice?” she asked eating the last of her raviolis. “You can’t be too nice.”

“Well that’s what I’ve always been told,” he said with a little pout.

“Says who?” she asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Previous girlfriends,” he said with a shrug.

“What’d you do, shower them with gifts and love until they couldn’t take it anymore and eventually became insane?” Alex was obviously amused and frustrated at how stupid girls could be. She hated that she would see such nice guys be treated like crap by woman like that.

Andrew chuckled amused at her disbelief. Alex inwardly winced. She hated to be laughed at. It made her feel like she had done something foolish and it brought her confidence down. After finishing her meal, she washed the dishes that was used and sat at the opposite end of the couch, making sure that there was plenty of space between them.
