For the next hour, Alex and Andrew went to the nearest Chinese buffet in town and ate until their hearts desire. For Alex it didn't take much to fill her stomach, while Andrew ate at least two or three more plates fulls of food.

"Mmm, I love Chinese food," he mumbled as he stuffed a fork full of noodles in his mouth. Alex laughed before taking a sip of her water. She had stopped drinking any carbonated drink a few years ago in attempt to lose the weight she had gained from a medication that was prescribed by her doctor. Thankfully, she had succeeded in her goal and ever since the carbonation hasn't agreed with her stomach.

Once they were done, the two walked out of the restaurant. Alex left with a skip in her step and a new found jolt of energy. Andrew watched with a lop-sided grin and chuckled as she skipped to the car. After unlocking the door, Andrew leaned against the car as she stared back at him with a mega-watt smile.

"What?" she asked innocently. Andrew shook his head and replied,

"Lets go to the beach."

"But it's in not even May yet," Alex protested. "The water will be freezing!"

"No one said we had to go into the water," he retorted with a sly grin as he sat in the driver's seat. Alex shook her head and let out a light giggle before sitting in the seat next to him. There was a comfortable silence around them as Alex stared out the window in a daze. Andrew would sneak glances of her every once in awhile as he drove and couldn't help but wonder what she was thinking. He contemplated on it for quite some time.

'Was she thinking about me?' he thought. 'I hope she's thinking about me. Wow, sounded incredibly desperate.' He inwardly groaned. 'This girl has me messed up.'

Alex was the type of girl who daydreamed a lot, and although she thought about numerous things, daydreaming was her favorite past time, but this time, her thoughts remained blank as she admired the scenery about her, taking in the relaxing feeling she was experiencing. She hadn't been this relaxed in a long time.
