Alex kicked off her black crocks and sprinted toward the blue ocean. The water soaked into the denim material of her jeans as she waded in the water ankle deep. She scrunched up her toes and enjoyed the feeling of the sand between her toes. Alex giggled and looked up to see her companion staring at her in admiration as her dark chocolate brown hair flew freely in the ocean's breeze.

"Come on in," she called with a smile. "The water's great!" Andrew smiled back at her before slipping off his shoes and striding toward her. He stopped a few inches from her, making Alex's body freeze at the closeness of their bodies. She smiled up a him, unsure of what he was thinking, but before he could ask, Andrew placed one hand on her hip and cupped her cheek before placing a tender kiss upon her lips. Her eyes grew wide shocked at what had happened, but she soon relaxed into his hold and kissed him back while throwing her arms around his neck. Their lips lingered on each others before Andrew pulled away slowly. Savoring the moment he gazed into her eyes before saying,

"I've wanted to do that for the past two weeks." Alex's cheeks resembled pink roses as she shyly looked away. This was the awkward moment that she had dreaded. She never really knew what to say or how to react when something like that would happen. The change in the air was somewhat unsettling in her eyes.

"And now that you have?" she asked curiously looking up at him through her lashes. Andrew replied with a crooked grin,

"I'll do it again." His lips touched hers once more. The kiss was shorter this time and when he pulled back he said, "Come on lets go catch a movie or something."

Alex smiled and nodded, silently thanking him for changing, what she felt as, the tension in the air. His happy personality was what attracted her to him. Alex had always found the most pessimistic guys who were always so sensible in what they did. She had never encountered a man who as was spontaneous as Andrew. There was no warning of when he was going to appear in her life again or what he was going to do while they were together. It was literally a breath of fresh air to meet Andrew. He didn't have an hourly plan of his days, weeks or months. He didn't carry a electronic device around telling him of his schedule. Andrew didn't have one and Alex loved it.
