“Leave em’. Just leave your keys here and Niles will take care of your car and the rest of your things,” she explained. Elle nodded and did as she was instructed before following her aunt inside.
The O’Connor’s were eating dinner when Elle was introduced. Jonathon O’Connor sat at the head of the table in a suit and tie, looking tired and stressed. His wife, a bright blond haired woman, sat next to him. Her figure was much like Elle’s and her sun-kissed tan made her flawless skin glow. Their youngest son, Brandon, sat next to his mother. He shared his mother’s blond hair and his father’s piercing green eyes.
Mr. O’Connor spoke first, introducing his family with a polite smile. He then began to explain that the head maid would be in charge of her schedule and she wouldn’t be start working for another two days.
“We ran out of rooms in the maid’s corridor, so you will be given one of the rooms that haven’t been used,” Jonathon explained. “Unfortunately, you’ll have to clean it yourself, which is another reason why you won’t be working immediately.”
“Thank you, sir,” Elle replied before the two were dismissed. Upon exiting the dining room, Elle’s body hit a hard surface and for a moment, she thought she had walked into a wall without realizing it. A deep scarlet crept to her cheeks as she stepped back, regaining her balance and looked up to a tall, young man by the name of Alex. His eyes narrowed and he scolded down at her.
Elle managed a meek ‘sorry,’ which her replied to with a rude, “Watch it.” Alex pushed past her small frame and joined his family while Elle rolled her eyes and rejoined her aunt.
“And that would be Alex,” Kate mumbled, not pleased with the lack of Alex’s manners lately.
“He must have had a crappy day or he has something up his ass,” Elle remarked.
“Gabriella Marie!” scolded her aunt even though she knew her niece was somewhat right.
