"Well- yes. I mean. Obviously it does."
"And where is this unmonitored room located?"
"Just behind show tank C as I said before. I could show you..."
"Please do." Eric demanded coldly.
"Ah- Right away sir." Mr. Oliver managed, deflating a little.
The trip to room took only slightly less time than the trip to the office had. Eric wasn't sure if he could retrace his steps. After this he was going to spend some time with a map.
"Here, sir. This is the room." Mr. Oliver moved to unlock an unmarked door at the end of one of the labyrinthine corridors.
As soon as it was unlocked, Eric shoved the door open angrily. Inside there were stacks of boxes filled with various equipment and at the far side was a small pool that obviously lead out into the main tank. There were a million places to hide. It gave him the shivers.
"What time is this show, on Saturday?"
"The show? Why?" Mr. Oliver stammered.
"Don't ask me questions. Just tell me. When is the show?"
"About 1pm sir."
"And what time does the 'mermaid' show up?"
"Alex sir? He, I mean, we didn't really arrange a time. He said-"
"He's coming here to an unmonitored room and you don't even know what time!" Eric towered over the little man, fists balled, causing Mr. Oliver to fidget with his glasses nervously.
"No. Well. He needs time to set up... I'm sure he'll be here around noon?" He suggested nervously.
"Well, I will be here all morning."
"What? Sir, we promised that no one would monitor-"
"Like hell I am keeping that promise Mr. Oliver! I won't allow people to just come into this aquarium and have the run of the place because they somehow managed to put on a show about being some mythical creature. Now, give me your keys."
"Sir. With all due respect, these are the only keys I-"
"You're fired Mr. Oliver. Until I can find a replacement, I will be taking over your job as director."
"But-" Mr. Oliver gaped.
