He could feel the woman from the lake calling for him. The irresistible pull to go to the ocean and return to her could not be denied. Still, there was one thing he had to do first. If it was his last act, he would go and earn the money he had received. Then he could leave it for Mary, and at least something good would have come out of all of the horror.

Mary glanced into the back seat to check on her two charges. The girl was staring out the window with a look of wide eyed fascination, as if see saw a different road which was covered in frolicking magical unicorns. From Mary's experience with her, she wasn't entirely sure that wasn't the case.
Billy on the other hand was maintaining a serious and well behaved demeanor that made her deeply suspicious. She still hadn't been able to figure out exactly why he had been so desperate to come. In fact, she had been too preoccupied with her own thoughts to even try.
She didn't really have a plan. Impulsive thinking didn't come naturally to her. Previously an impulsivity high had been deciding to use the purple sharpie to grade papers when her red sharpie was low on ink.
"Ms. Mckillop?" The voice startled her out of her reverie.
"Yes Billy?"
"You missed the turn. You had to make a right back there."
"Ah, yes." She blushed, "Right. I'll just turn around over here."
This was really bad. She was so distracted she hadn't even noticed a giant aquarium. In her head she focused on the comforting crash of waves and the feeling of warm sun.
Feeling somewhat calmer, she managed to make the correct turn. It was truly amazing that she had missed it the first time. The line stretched out well past the entrance and nearly into the road.
"What the-" She blurted. Billy became even more innocent looking in the back seat. Clearly the lines had something to do with his plans.
"Do you know why the aquarium is so busy today Billy?"
It didn't seem like Billy was going to answer, but to Mary's surprise, Rose answered her.
