The reason why I'm telling you all this. Is because I'm thinking they're starting to be on the verge of a divorce.
Divorce.
I've seen it happen to my uncle on my mom's side. Pretty nasty one. My ex-aunt was a bitch.
And I've seen it happen to my dad's sister. But theirs was mutual. And my aunt's so much more better off with her fiancée Kent. He's so sweet and so stable for my aunt. They're getting married sometime this spring or summer. We don't know which.
It happened to my dad's mom. She divorced my grandfather. Soon my grandfather married his college sweetheart. Then he got a heart attack and died the week before my parent's wedding. 18 and half years ago.
Soon, my grandmother found my step-grandfather. Carlos. He's so funny, and Cuban. He's 87 right now. and she's 73. and they're happily in love.
Which again, brings me back to the subject of happily ever after's.
Do they ever end with the same person, to your final breath, when your hitting 70 and you have to yell your husband's name to get him to look at you and not the t.v.
"FRAAAANK! Look! Look! The neighbors got a new dog! Let's hope he doesn't rip up my blue forget-me-nots!"
"Huh!? Whadda want?! *Puts on old geezer glasses and looks out window with me*"
Seriously, I'm smiling imagining this scenario. I would be insanely happy if i ever had a guy that held up with me for that long.
But then again, Wouldn't we all?
Life's funny like that.
Time makes us impatient to know what our happily-ever-afters will be like.
Guess, you just have to wait and see. but for now, I guess we just revel in the moments. Because you know, they won't ever happen again. The seconds are slipping as I type.
My advice to you; Go out. Live your days. Don't wait around imagining your future happily-ever-afters like me. If you're lucky enough that your able to get out of the house now then,
Do it.
Live.
Be happy.
