a large amount of people with a similarly large amount of sharp pointy objects. Spring was behind them, barking loudly but as he slowed down Spring, noticed him approaching and bounded after him.
"Spring! You shouldn't be running off like that you know".
He leapt up to him and licked his face. He laughed and took a look around at the crush still around the alley.
"Come on, we need to get that ladies necklace back". Spring barked happily, wagging his tail with enthusiasm.
He took a look around at his surroundings, taking in the scenes around him. There was still the large noisy crowd around the alley entrance and there was some fighting due to one side trying to move out, and the other trying to move in, and no one knowing which side they were on. The noisy crown was attracting some attention, people stopped in the street staring at them and curtains peeled back slightly in the windows.    "Come on, I'm sure she'd like it, and I'll give you a biscuit as soon as I get back okay?".
The dog looked happy at this, and barked appreciatively, before running off back where he had come from.
Thomas stood up, and moved towards the wall of shops to his left. There was a ladder there that had been standing up straight just by a small stone covered wall, and he moved it across to a lower shop wall where it just managed to reach the rooftops.
He grabbed the mop and the bucket and started up the ladder, climbing with some difficulty, holding the mop by it's handle and the bucket in his teeth. The water sloshed around and a few drops pattered down as he continued to climb.
He pulled himself up onto the rooftops and held the bucket in his hand, thankful to get the taste of the metal handle out of his mouth. He moved quickly across the roof, following the alley below. A few guards had managed to break through the mass
