I was not expecting her to actually compromise with me. The look on my face probable gave her the satisfaction she was looking for because she smiled then started walking again. Being friends with her is going to be fun. She likes to have everything done on her terms but every girl wants that. Lucy isn't so different from everyone else than she thinks she is. But I do have to admit she does have her own turn on things. I wonder how she would feel in church. Lucy really needs God. I can tell by the way that she guards her eyes. She has been hurt badly and probably still is being hurt. I would like to think that she would actually like church. I look around. We are headed toward the front doors of the school. I grab her shoulder.
"Where are we going?" I sign. We haven't communicated since we came up with her deal so I didn’t notice where we were going. Lucy turns to me. She looks at me up and down, purses her lips then gives a small wave. She starts to leaves to turn her body to leave the building "Wait you can’t just leave it’s the middle of the day!" I sign.
"I told you. I don’t care about this place, I won’t ever. Now I am leaving for the rest of the school day. You can’t stop me so don’t try to." She signs.
"So you are expecting me to just let you go?" I sign to her. She rolls her eyes and then nods her head. Before I can sign anything else she leaves. What am is supposed to do?
"Seth, man, why are you hanging out with that chick?" says James. I turn around and see all my friends staring at me, probably wanting to start the basketball game early. James is the stupid one out of the group. He definitely asks the most annoyingly obvious questions.
"James man, I think he's falling for her" Derik says.
"No im not guys I just have to help her out in chem. She really needs to go to church too" I say. Moans go through the whole group.
"Here we go again another one of his projects"
"Seth if it didnt work on us, it is no way going to work on her"
"Dude, she'll probable rip you to pieces, or get her freak of a boyfriend to chew you up if you mention anything about your God"
I hear everyone speaking at one time. They dont like it when i talk about church. The only time it is allowed is when i pray before one of our games. But i am not going to be persuaded on this. I really feel the need to get her to church. I cant help it. Its like God is calling me to help her.
