"Im going up stairs please dont come up unless you absolutely need me" i sign to her. Oh my gosh what have i done! Telling mom the big secret is not something that i particularly like. But at least she'll get back to her workaholic schedule and not care enough to investigate more into my horrid story. I barely make it up the stair when I hear my name called. "Lucy you home" Its Charlie's voice. I smell like smoke from Dominic's. Oh goodness. He rounds the bend of the wall and stands at the bottom of the stairs.
"did you go any place?"
"No" i sign to him. I know mom is listening.
"Can i believe you?"
"yes' i sign back to him. I have no idea why he would believe me. All i do is lie to him. But maybe he thinks i am changed, drug free, sober, whatever you want to call it. But im not. Im anything but that. Well at least Im going to be anything but that in a few minutes.
"Ok Luce, I believe you. Your a good girl remember that" with that he turns back to the kitchen, He puts the groceries away just like dad used to. Should I feel horrible for lying to him? Maybe I should, but i dont. Not one sigle bit. I think that makes me sad; but i dont care about anything except becoming the very thing my brother doesnt want me to be. A drugie.

Saying goodbye to charlie was hard. It felt like i was saying goodbye to Dad all over again. But whatever it is what he thinks is best. Just leave me here to die. All i have left is Dominic, which is not much at all. The house is empty with out charlie. All the life that the house had simply vanished with him.For me school starts tomorrow and after the kids get a load of me, let me tell you, some sort of torment is going to break loose.
