My Last Year

So... I've had a rough week. Both of my parents were yelling at each other and sometimes at me because my mom got this new medication for her car-accident pains that doesn't really help get rid of the pain. My dad is having pain in his neck and shoulders from years of wear and tear from the army, and his desk job certainly isn't helping that at all. I feel like I've literally been caught in the middle and I can tell you that it sucks. I hate having all the eyes on me. It makes me feel like I'm being watched from behind bars. Anything I say or do will be punished or severely criticized. Again, I'm most likely over-exaggerating but I can't help it.

My dad just came home a few minutes ago. Apparently our river that was once dry, is now at flood stage. It's been raining for about a week now but the brunt of it came all day today. Oh, the wonders of facebook. I know I'm switching subjects quite quickly but that's because I haven't spoken to him verbally in a week. I miss him. I miss hearing his voice. I miss his mannerisms, and I just flat out miss him. I'm so happy that he's coming home with his friend from college next weekend.

So, apparently my brother and his friend aren't coming home this weekend. My brother has some Alumni scrimmage going on Saturday and that doesn't leave him much time to do anything. Even though he won't be here this weekend, I am still having the time of my life at school. I've got my best friend Caitlin and her boyfriend Matt with the other hooligans I speak with at school. Matt and I have been planning some booby-traps for his front lawn for Halloween. I'm getting dressed as a zombie so I'll definitely be scaring the ptooties out of small children and possibly adults. Dang, my stupid contacts are making it hard for me to read what I'm typing because I need to take them out. Hang on. Alright, they're out. Finally I can actually read the screen without blinking about four-hundred times in a second. Anyway, I digress.
In my Art class this morning, we were working on taking a small little sketch that we call thumbnails, and making variations of it to suit our ideas for game pieces and boards. Our project is to instill an idea of our chosen game into our artwork. So I picked a game called Tsuro, which is a lot like another game called Carcassone, where you build your own path/castle and try to win. In Tsuro, you have to stay on the board which means the path you build can't go off the board. It's an asian themed game so I got oodles of ideas off of it.
