2010: The year of change
There's nothing quite like contempt and frustration to take a struggling Buddhist off his game. I try to be compassionate, I try to detach myself from ego and all its trappings, but sometimes you just have to call it like you see it-My boss is horrible.
Unqualified, unprofessional, disorganized, confused- all the hallmarks of a great leader, no?
Oh well, that's exactly why I went to six years of college, earned three degrees, and worked my ass off to become indispensible- to answer to an art school dropout who's way over his head and can't keep two facts in his head simultaneously. I'd say he probably can't walk and chew gum at the same time, but I've actually seen him accomplish that.
For the rest of the day, I need to just put my headphones on, listen to some jazz, and crank out some work. Otherwise I'll just pine for the dream of actually building things, or surfing job sites, which probably alerts I.T more than one page a day.
