Memorial Day. Reading back on some of my previous thoughts on time and our sense of identity, I would say that I spend a lot of time in memorial of various things. Usually it's some look back at who I believed I was, a remembrance of a previous chapter of my life.
Being present while thinking of the past is an odd thing, and often leads me to some sad nostalgic place. But as I have been growing into this new part of my life, I'm finding it easier to allow myself the fond moment, but then return to the present to appreciate it.
All things must pass, and that's o.k.
