Weekend warrior- that's me. Cycling never gets old, especially when the sun comes out, the wind dies down, and you have a partner to hit the road with.
Awake earlier than expected, I whipped up coffee, bacon, and eggs then threw the cat on my roommate to wake him up. We chowed down, threw the bikes in the car, and hit Sauvie's Island for a 12-mile fast loop. We ended up adding about 15 miles on an out-and-back to see the beach along the Columbia River (not the nude beach- the regular one), so we didn't get back for awhile. Great weather, though.
Decided to hit Hawthorne for a strolling Saturday, popped into a few pubs for some afternoon beers, drooled at the bike shop, hit the liquor store, and had an all-around nice Portland afternoon.
No drama today, no deep thoughts- just a relaxing day in this new mode of being in the moment.
