Snow
I looked down at my street clothes. It wasn't my favorite part about being in the hospital. She left the room. I looked down at my hand, and the ribbon was gone. I searched all through the covers, finally finding it under my pillow. I ate the apple that was carelessly tossed on my tray. The medicine they gave me was making me sick. Mrs. Kelim will kill me if I don't put my gown on. I slid on the gown, and tossed my jeans and shirt aside.
This time when I went on the roof I dragged the pole with me. Once I reached the top I flung the door open, and let the cool air rush past me. I looked around but didn't see anything. I walked out further, where we were last night. There still was nothing. All I noticed was the blood against the snow. I turned around, dissapointed and went back in. Going down the stairs was much easier than going up. Mrs. Kelim was waiting for me beside my door. "Where have you been?" I shrugged my shoulders. "What's with that ribbon?" I looked down at the ribbon in my hand. I wrapped it around my long, brown hair. I gave her alittle smile, and then dragged my pole into the room. "Are you hurting." I waved my hand, kinda. "Well you physical therapist will be here in a few minutes." She left the room without another word.
A few minutes a man walked through the door. He greeted me and then looked at the clipboard. "Since you have Wilson's disease I need you to understand something. Your hands and legs will begin to tremble uncontrollably." I looked down at my hands, as though they would betray me. I nodded my head. "Okay, well let's start by writting your name." I was fine the first few times. After I had done it, it became harder. My hands started shaking. He finally let me stop. He handed me a foam ball. "Can you rotate it in your hand for me?" I did as I was told. I dropped the ball a few times, but he just handed it back to me. He finally took the ball, and handed me a coin. "Can you twirl this down your fingers?" I don't think I could do that even if I had normal hands.
I attempted it and failed it. "I'm going to leave you with one more thing." He handed me a journal. "Here right in this. It will help with your hands." He left soon after that. Mrs. Kelim walked in. "Okay, well I'm giving your medicine now." I handed her the journal. "Oh, wow that was really nice. Not a lot of doctor's do this sort of thing. Oh, and it's really beautiful." She placed the book back on the table. "Did he give you that coin, also?" I tossed her the coin while I nodded.
