I was sliding the journal into the drawer when there was a knock on the door. She came in as I was closing the door. It was another intern. Her long blond hair was tied back into a ponytail. The eyeliner around her eyes were thick, but it just made her blue eyes pop. "Hi, I'm Maria. Mrs. Kelim told us to keep an eye on you. I volunteered. You know she is really worried about you." I just continued to stare at her. She pulled up a chair beside me. "Is this about a boy?" It shocked me and I think it showed on my face.
She gave me a smile, but I just went on staring. "It is isn't it? He doesn't except you? You thought maybe if he liked you then you would be able to open yourself up?" That's when I got nervous. How did she know this? Is she really a therapist? "I've been there, too. I know you don't believe me, but I was in the exact position you were in. I was in this same hospital, but I told myself I was going to get out and do something with my life. If he can't make you happy then go for anothe goal that you can work for." What she was staying is making sense. I was frightened to look at her. I turned over and went to sleep. I didn't sleep long, and when I woke up Maria was gone. I turned over and hit the nurse button. Instead of a nurse Mrs. Kelim walked into the room. I gave her a half hearted smile. I pointed to the bathroom. "Do you need to use the bathroom?" I shook me head. "Do you want to take a shower?" I nodded my head yes. She smiled. She's obviously happy that I'm comminicating with her. "I'll send one of the interns to get you some shampoo and conditioner." She laughed and skipped out of the room. It made me just a small bit happier.
Maria was right. I can't let this get to me. I have to be stronger, and forget about him. It's not fair for me to be so cruel to the ones that have taken care of me. I'm going back up to the roof tongiht, and giving Malcolm a piece of my mind. If he isn't there than I will leave him a letter. No, he will be there. Mrs. Kelim walked back in. She removed the need from my arm. "Maria, should be here in any movement. I sent her to the drug store down the street." Mrs. Kelim left me alone in the room. I sat down on the bed, but I noticed something strange. My journal was lain on the table open. I know someone didn't read it. I grabbed the large book and there was a different handwritting.
I know what your going through and I am very sorry. I want you to know that I'm always her for you. I know this is a very big envaion of privacy, but I wanted to tell you that. ~Maria
