Dear Journal,
I've always read. Learning by sight was much easier than learning by order. It always has been, always will be. At the corp, we read science fiction, non-fiction, and wartime based books. Books that could aid in the domination of the superior species. If we didn't already know how to kill, we'd learn it. If we didn't know a way to persuade or hide our identity; we'd learn it. Well, that was then and, even if it was just a month before now; this is now. I found a book called the Diary of Anne Frank in Meredith's bookcase. The topic was not foreign to me. In fact, we read many books about the Nazis... Except we were taught to been on their side. I had never really thought about the Jews until my history professor, Mr. Handy, mentioned it. He's a telepath, so he knew my curiosity from the second my hand went up about it. I stayed in his classroom after school for about two hours afterward. I knew this would be ruining my precise sleep schedule, but I didn't really care. I wanted the truth and absolutely nothing but the truth....
It was given, and my curiosity was satiated for about ten seconds.
Now, I am writing to you. Not because Anne Frank was a fascinating person (which, to be honest, she was just alright when it came to an interesting life), but because a young man by the same of Peter Van Daan (to be continued, hopefully)...
