" I murdered her, Christi." She felt a cold hand press against her cheek. She didn't know how to feel. She didn't know enough to cry, but she hadn't found enough passion in her to light him and his perfect black hair on fire. Her body went limp in his long arms.

"How could you-" The short, curvy brunette dug her head into his chest, soaking his shirt in the tears she couldn't hold in.

"I had no control of myself." He whispered into her ear. "I cried myself to sleep that night, woke up, and then discovered her dead in her bedroom."

"Then how did you know it was-"

"You know that story you wrote about him?"

"About being a human by day, but having to trust the soul of a vampire to not kill the ones he loved or screw himself over?" Christi nodded. "I wrote and rewrote it fifteen times; the fifteenth became best seller."

"I had read it before I met you, before I won the gold medal."

"You told me." Christi snorted.

"What if I told you that there was actually truth in what you wrote?"

"Why do you think I wrote it fifteen times?" She said. "By the fifteenth it actually made sense in the real world."

"What if I told you I shared more than just a medal and a passion with him?"

"What if I told you that you were absolutely mad." She grinned. "And that I love you anyways?"
