"Are you sure this is the best idea, Will?" Lena asked, a bushy black eyebrow higher than I had ever seen on her forehead.
"What are you talking about?" I said, turning on the ball of my foot. The way my nightgown swished as I made the rotation was a pleasing enough sensation; but not pleasing enough to stop me.
"Well, we both have exams in classes we detest with a passion and" She clucked between beats. "you're pacing at midnight."
"Not yet, it aint." I said, not breaking my pace. "Three more minutes."
"Which makes all the difference in the world." Her eyes rolled like bulldozer tires.
"Sarcasm?" I asked, knowing it was obvious and not caring because, even when one has been pacing up an down the length of a small dorm; one can get quite bored.
"Aspergers?" She asked with the hint of venom in her honey-sweet Southern accented voice.
