"Because I only want to be with you." I said, letting a tear fall down my cheek before hanging up. I sighed, banging my head against the unforgiving glass window that keeps me from the freedom I long for. "Damnit! Damn everything to hell!" I muttered, half wishing that I had shouted it but alas, I was raised too well.
"You do know that, at this rate, you're going to wake the entire bus up, right?" The formerly silent girl that I had assumed to be sleeping in the seat asked, barely over a mumble.
"Sorry" was the only thing I could think of that could make up for waking up a girl who, by the way she snored, clearly loved her sleep. "How much of it did you hear?"
"Enough." She said, straightening up a bit using her armrest. "Boyfriend drama?"
"Girlfriend" came out before I could even think about stopping it. "Well, ex-girlfriend after I realized that I wasn't-"
"Just as long as you don't hit on me, it's all good." She said. "I may be from the South, but I am in no way homophobic."

"Okay, this is getting awkward and your a referee, big deal." She spoke with a sickly sweet but bitter as grapefruit juice tone that cut the air like burning scissors. "Let's talk about something else like..."
