"No." A voice from nowhere whispered, breaking the bridge between dreams and reality that endorphins had built for me. It was so silent that I could barely tell that it was female. Whether it was Max or not wasn't worth trying to tell. All I knew was that it was a woman, I wasn't supposed to be here, and I had no where to go.

"Oh God..." I hissed, turning around to see if anyone was following me. "I really didn't mean that quick death thing as a command. Just a suggestion really." I slipped my foot backward, praying that there was still firm ground to stand on. I can't really put into words how I fell, really. It was like a thirty long seconds of grabbing at the loose dirt that lined the cliff, silently praying that this wasn't the end as every memory crossed my dirt-blinded eyes. Then, the dirt ended and I was free falling for a time that was impossible to measure and after feeling a sickening streak of pain run up and down my arm; blackness.
