I wasn't looking of Love. It just happened to sit nexxt to me in Chem class. I like how he looks and smells and talks. He talks slowl, like he's thinking about what he's saying and how to say it. i like how he looks at me, like he sees me tho I know he doesn't because his girlfriend is one of hte popular girls at school and surprising enough, she's not a cheerleader. I know. Most stories are about a popular girl always ends up that she's a cheerleader.
But not Shasta. I know. It's a total cheerleader name. But she's now. Other things she's not: blond. Rich. Stuck-up. Stupid.
She's opposite and that's why it's hard to hate her because she's so nice and sweet. That's why everyone loves her-she loves everyone. Even the neighborhood pets love her. Once, she got a cat out of the tree and that orange-striped cat followed her for a week. And I'm not even going to tell you about the iguana. Mouth-to-mouth on a lizard is just gross.
And it's sad for me to say, but Jake is like Shasta. That's why they're perfect for each other. Except Jake is the football captain but he pulled a muscle and is benched. Other than the football captain/quarterback, Jake is awesome.
And all the other girls like him too. We all have a crush on him but he doesn't act like he knows that small fact. Or big fact because our school is huge. Like over a 1000 students or something like that.
What's happening? I'm monolgouing in my own story.
Okay.
Where was I?
Oh yes.
Jake sat by me and I was so shocked I couldn't talk I drooled.
Then I fell of the stool.
Yup.
I really, really did something embarrassing like that.
But I'm okay.
Jake reached out his hand and helped me up.
His hand was warm but not soft which is fine.
"You hurt?" (he doesn't waste a lot of words.)
I shook my head. He smiled, showing all his white teeth, even the pointy one that's a little crooked.
