and when I got to Glenn-Michael he was speaking with someone. I touched his arm gently and said "I'll see you soon" with a smile. He immediately excused himself from the previous conversation and wrapped me up in his arms. "Thank you, really," I muttered into his shoulder, before letting go. "Not a problem. Hey, let's get together soon, okay?" His charming smile got me, causing my heart to stammer ever so slightly. "Of course! I'm sure we'll be in touch." I said before heading out the door. I climbed in the car with my mother and said, "Well, now I know why I'm attracted to older men."
Again, it's been a couple of days. Try to piece together past events proves to be more difficult each time I try to do it. Yesterday was Sunday, quite uneventful as I remember it. I went to church with dad, as I usually do. We don't have much to discuss these days and he winds up telling me the same stories over and over. It gets really irritating, and I try my best to just let it go, but more and more we keep butting heads. Anyway, before the service started I decided to play nanny with Judah, the worship leader's seven month old son. He is such a complacent baby, I think I've heard him cry twice. He loves attention, he loves to look at things and touch, and he cannot sit still. I'm constantly moving him around and changing positions just so we can both be comfortable. I held him up until service started, then Christine wanted him back so she could watch him while she was on stage.
After church I pretended to be busy, but I was really just on the phone a lot. Michael and I made plans for Wednesday (which he broke already, surprise), and then Bryan called. He wanted to hang out at the new house. Frank and Bryan showed up in the Tonka truck - Frank's dad just bought this huge truck with a cab that you could practically live in. We traveled to New Street, where the house is located. It's beautiful; built in the early 1900's, with all the original molding on the walls. The kitchen is great, it's a good house to entertain in, the only drawback is that there's no air conditioning. When we walked in it felt as though we had walked into a swamp. We immediately began opening all of the blind and then the windows, starting at the ground floor
