"He's such a nerd," said Lenni dreamily, "The nerdiest person I have ever met."
Other girls might be surprised why Lenni was attracted to Charles. But it made perfect sense to her. Lenni admired smart, dedicated people. She hated players. Charles was the prince charming to her. He did not even hang out with any girls. He was very smart and dedicated to his studies. He was also responsible. He worked a lot. He earned a lot of money, because, of course, he was very dedicated to it. What did he do to a pretty big part of it? He donated it to charity.
"How I wish I could be like him," Lenni sighed.
Lenni knew that he would never even be interested in her. But she enjoyed daydreaming them being together...
"If you were to stalk someone, he'd better be worth it!" Katelyn exclaimed when she saw Charles' picture on facebook.
"I know he's really fat and not cute," Lenni looked at the screen thoughtfully.
"Why do you want to go after him?"
"I don't know. I just like him, although he never cared about me."
"Then stop." Katelyn commanded.
"I can't," Lenni said bitterly. She knew it was probably the best thing she could have done, to just move on and stop thinking about him. She also knew that she could have probably "make" herself stop. But she deeply inside, she did not want to. Being a girl, having someone to admired was always desirable. It did not matter if he would rip her heart. She offered it to him willingly.
"Lenni, you can't go after boys. If you start a relationship like that, you'll always have to do it. Boys are supposed to come after you."
"I'd rather not date anyone if I could not have him." Lenni was determined. She wanted to be an old maid anyways. Liking someone she had no chance will insure this.
