Shifting Winds
He opened his eyes and looked at me. "If I told you that I was falling in love with you, would you believe me?" he whispered. My heart beat so loud and hard I was sure he heard it. I looked into his light brown eyes. "Only if you would believe that I've been experiencing the same thing." I said quietly. The moment was so emotionally charged. Slowly, softly he leaned toward me. When our faces were only about half an inch apart he stopped. Then he smiled. I smiled too. "I think we missed lunch", he said sheepishly. He pushed some of my never staying in place hair out of my face. "How about I treat you to lunch after school? Can you wait that long?" "Sure", I said. He got up, reached for my hand, and hauled me to my feet. Putting one hand around my waist, he used the other to tip my chin up and make me look at him. From her long black hair, to blue eyes, to perfectly shaped body, to caring nature...everything was perfect. I finished getting ready and strode out to breakfast. "Morning Zane", my mom greeted me smiling. "Morning", I replied giving her a kiss on the che
