i went in the back. the make table wasn't stocked. there wasn't any pizza sauce made, i had dough in the proofer and the dishes were all over the place. fuck. doesn't anybody do anything here anymore?

"who worked this morning?"
"me. i'm working a double. steve called off."
"you didn't do anything back here at all."

"why not?"
"i knew you were coming in." he laughed. fucker. i checked the schedule, some new kid name jason was working. i hate new people, so fucking slow. i heard he drools and stinks. i couldn't criticize i guess.you're not supposed to put new people on dishes the first week. they always quit. i would teach him how to cut but he would fuck it up, you ever got a pizza that was cut super off center? you end up with 4 pieces that are huge and 4 that are like 3 inches long. you end up with something like 11 pieces, it doesn't make any sense at all? that is the result of a new guy cutting pizzas. not to mention the pizzas would probably fall off the oven because he wouldn't be able to keep up and the pizza coming through the oven would push the ones in front of them to the side and eventually push them off the oven...onto the ground...these never get served either..right??
john was in later, we'd be set when he came in. he's fast as hell, just like me.
i put a tape in the stereo. it was a a ministry tape, the land of rape and honey. i had taped over it, one side was pearl jam b-sides, the other side was shellac at action park. i rewound the shellac side. i love that fucking record. so heavy. the filet of steve albini's career as a musician. my black ass is the first song on the record.
