October 22- Today I will be writing a short story.
Lily was talking to her best friend, Ann. Lily loved birds and Ann loved birds almost as much as Lily. Lily had many birds at her house, because her parents studied birds so they had many different species a their house. Some people may not like that, but Lily loved birds and was absolutely delighted that she lived with people who loved birds. Ann also loved birds but her parents disliked pets and did not have any pets. Ann knew about birds but not as much as Lily, Lily was in love with birds and knew many things about them. Lily loved and knew so much about birds that sometimes her parents joked that Lily was half bird. Lily wished that she was half bird because she absolutely loved birds. Ann was going to come over, which she did almost every weekend because they had more fun at Lily's house than at Ann's. After an hour or two, they were going to a bird zoo that was there for only two weeks. At the bird zoo they had all types of birds, which were tamed and the people who came could pet them. They also had shops and many things for birds, such as special bird treats and things for bird lovers to collect. Lily and Ann had been planning to go ever since they heard that it was coming to their town. They had collected enough money to pay for the tickets to enter and still have plenty of money to but treats and other things. They door bell rang and many birds chirped as the door bell rang. As Lily got up to answer the door, she thought it was probably Ann.
they had spent two hours petting and caring for the birds. Ann had helped Lily to feed the birds and they had both played, waiting until the hour arrived for them to go to the bird zoo. When the hour arrived, Lily told her mom they were going. "OK, just as long as your back before its dark!" called Lily's mother as the two girls left the house. They both got their bikes and headed for the direction of the zoo, laughing and talking all the way.
"Cool!" Ann exclaimed as they walked through the hundreds of birds. Lily and Ann were looking at all the birds while their owners talked about where the birds were from. The friends were having fun and were looking at the shops. Lily had bought a bag of Amazon bird treats for her birds at home. Ann had gotten a bird bracelet. They were looking at bird jewelry, enjoying the chorus of birds all around them. Lily saw a beautiful bird pendant necklace. It was black with a bird pendant with a dark blue bird with a white eye. The pendant was encrusted with gems, but Lily doubted that they were real, as the necklace was only $10. "Wow.." whispered Lily. She felt as though the necklace had her in a trance and she just had to have it. TO BE CONTINUED...
