October 14- Today I will be writing another short story.
Molly walked down the street, walking the long route back home from school. Molly loves reading books and was teased about it in school. She had read many books, more then most adults. She was walking and suddenly saw a bookstore. It had never been there before! Molly walked towards it, and wondered how much money she had in her wallet. She reached the door and opened the door. It had a little door chime that tinkled when she opened the door. "Hello?" Molly called. The bookstore was dusty and as Molly walked around looking at the books, she did not recognize any of the titles or authors. That was strange as Molly knew most of the authors. She picked out a random book, it was called "The Hidden Secrets". Molly thought it looked interesting and looked all over the book for an author. She did not find any name. It only said "The Hidden Secret" on the cover. The cover was old and peeling and was a dark red. Molly opened the book and read the first page. "BEWARE! DO NOT READ THIS BOOK AT NIGHT." It said in dark, dark, red letter. The pages were old and yellow, yet the book was perfectly clean and did not smell, it was only old. "Hello, I didn't hear you come in." a voice whispered behind Molly. She gasped and dropped the book. "S-s-sorry. I c-called out w-when I came in." Molly stammered. She looked at the person, who, as Molly guessed, owned the shop. The person was a old woman with clear and oddly cloudy eyes. She wore a dark red dress and had black hair. These dark colors contrasted greatly with her pale skin. "Oh, don't worry, dear. I won't hurt you. Now, what is your name? I'm Samantha, the shop's owner." Her voice was surprisingly soft. "Uh..My name is Molly, nice to meet you, Miss Samantha." Molly bent down and picked up "The Hidden Secrets". "Now, about that book..."Samantha whispered ominously.
