October 31- Today I will writing my third book review for the second quarter. I will be copying and pasting this from google documents because I wrote this today and do not want to write this over again. This book review will be about Tallstar's Revenge.
Tallstar’s Revenge is a super edition in the best selling series Warriors. In this super edition, we learn about Tallstar and his life. We learn more about WindClan as none of the other books take place in the heart of WindClan. I always thought WindClan was like any other Clan, but WindClan is the most different than all of the Clans. We learn how Tallstar became leader. We learn about the never-before-told past of Tallstar and a tragedy that makes him bitter and seek revenge. One of the themes in this book is Revenge is not always the answer. This is a theme because Tallstar wants revenge after a tragic event, but he learns revenge is not always the answer.
My favorite character is Tallstar because this book follows his life and Tallstar is always in the story. I think Tallstar is my favorite character in this book because when he was mentioned in the series, I always thought he was just another leader without an important past, but now I learned differently. “Friendship and kinship matter more than adventure. Boundaries only exist in our minds. A heart can travel to the horizon without moving a paw step.” (Talltail, 444) I have always wondered why Tallstar liked Firestar and the answer is in this book. The characters feel real to me because they all have feeling like real people. My favorite part of the book is when Tallstar receives his nine lives and becomes leader and talks to his father. I would recommend this book to someone who likes cats and wants to start the Warriors series or has read it. This book can be read before reading the whole series because this book is a stand alone because WindClan is very different and you do not need the knowledge of Warriors to read it. I would recommend this book to anyone who like animals. This is a wonderful book.
