October 11- Today I will be continuing my short story.
Kate was sitting in her room, thinking. Why hadn't the cat liked her? None of her friends had dogs and all the other cats she had met had loved her immediately. This was strange, Kate decided. "Kate! Come down for dinner!" Kate heard her father call her down for dinner. Kate got up and went downstairs. when she came, she saw her mother still holding the cat. Kate sat down and realized that there was an extra plate on the table. "Mom? Why is there an extra plate?" Kate asked her Mother. Her mom looked at her surprised "Why it's for the cat, of course!" Kate stared at her mom then stared at the cat. Kate looked down at the food, it was fish. Her parents knew she hated fish! "Um...is there anything else to eat?"Kate asked. "No. Today we are eating fish." said her mother, still stroking the cat. "Today we are eating fish in honer of the newest member of this family, Mittens." "What?! Its MY birthday and now I have to eat the most disgusting thing in the world!" thought Kate angrily. "I hate that cat!" Kate got up and looked at her mother. "I'm going to bed. I'm not very hungry" Kate said turning around to leave. "Sure, whatever you want."said her mother distractedly. Kate angrily went to her room, shutting the door and lying down on her bed. 'Its like t\hat cat is stealing my parents!' Kate thought angrily. "I'm going to get rid of that cat no matter what" Kate said aloud. TO BE CONTINUED...
