Grant nor Derek can recall, to this day, if they have ever told Alex what he was eating.
Feeling like it had been too long since he had been apart from these two, Derek headed across the 50 feet of walk that had seemed to daunting to him earlier in the year, and entered the dorm that Grant and Alex had been housed in for the year.
It was his first outing with the boys, and it was to see the popular movie at the time, Zombieland. After entering the building, Derek saw Grant waiting at the elevator.
Grant was standing at the elevator door, talking on his phone. He waved at Derek, and came to the door to let him inside. Without even waiting for Derek to come inside, Grant headed back towards the elevator, where, to Derek's surprise, the three girls from the other day exited, clad in coats.
Recognizing their faces from the other day, Derek remembered that he had briefly met them at lunch. Sitting next to Grant at their usual table were two girls of small stature - one wearing a green pea coat with short dirty-blond hair that was barely ear-length; the other with a black pea coat with hair to match at shoulder-length. The two were roommates, and lived on the floor across from Grant's. They had met through various reasons, and, needing a place to sit, were enticed by Grant's demanding nature to sit next to him. As Derek sat down, he chose a spot next to Grant, facing the two girls. He introduced himself, and found out that the one facing directly across from him in the green coat was named Elise, and her roommate next to her was Karina.
Derek was polite, and bid them ado as he left to find his lunch. As he left, he noticed that Grant was eating a bowl of his favorite cereal - Cap'n Crunch.
Grabbing a bowl, he poured the cereal from he vendor and poured chocolate milk
