Different Masks
jumped in Firestarter's arms. He grinned and said, "Looks like it's going to rain.

"No," Phenol said, "It's gonna do worse." Then very loud thunder rumbled in her ears, her body shook. She looked around and a couple of miles away she saw where the lightning has struck.

Firestarter grabbed her wrist and ran to his Corvette. When the got to the car, Phenol opened the door and motioned for Firestarter to get in.

"You get in," she ordered him, "I'll drive!" He got in, and right before she sut the door she said, "Whatever you do, don't touch anything metal."

She ran over to the other side and slipped on some mud from last nights rain. As eh was about to open the door, she was suddenly stoped by some force. She heard a sizzle and crackling noise, and the air smelled of burnt hair. Then everything went black as she fell unconsious.

She would lapse in and out of a coma, every once in a while. Even then she couldn't move, talk, or feel anything. Sometimes, she didn't even see.

One time, she heard someone crying. It was her mother, Coral. She was weeping because she thought Phenol would never wake up.

"Oh, Phenol. The doctor says your chances are pretty slim, but we never believed himbefore, so prove him wrong and pull through this, okay hun? Please pull through."

She fell back into unconsiousness. She started to dream. Her dreams would be real vivid, short and sweet, and the next was more powerful and worse than the last. Then she heard people yelling. Two human figures was all she could make out.

"It's all your fault she's like this. If you hadn't of gone out into the country this would have never of happened!" Capricorn, her father yelled at someone int he room, supposedly it was Firestarter. "You made her like this. Well? What do
