when you sit on a bus listening to music, you see the world according to that music's rhythm. you see the way people toss their hair, the way they impatiently tap their foot, the way the trash moves in the breeze, it's beautiful and alive. when you walk to something wonderful, you proudly stride as the world dances to a single song. you feel like the world is watching you, and sometimes you like it.
if you have the courage, sometimes you sing. however, no matter how well you sing, if you've got some headphones on, odds are you sound like an idiot. the problem is you can't hear yourself, and the world can't hear the song your listening to. it's worse if you forget a word or two.
sometimes i think life is like that. we're all dancing to our own groove, ridiculing the person next to us, because what they're doing looks so foolish, not realizing they're thinking the same exact thing.
how long before we all hear the same song? how long before we all understand each other? it's a weird thought, to be sure, but i'd like to think someday it'll happen.
till then i'll keep listening to lady gaga play poker :P
i'm in my class, half an hour early, and half the class is already full. i came early to ensure my laptop, Umi, has a place to charge. some people look at me strangely when i come in with just a laptop, sometimes a tiny notebook and a little pencil, but when you have penmanship like mine, you've got to type everything. besides, Umi is only a 10 inch top, light and small enough to carry everyday. so while everyone else's hands will hurt from holding a pencil again after a couple of months without having to write... i'll be fine, typing up my notes. if they're nice to me and ask, i'll even email my notes to them. so here i am, tiny pink notebook, little silver pencil. gorgeous little laptop, and a mokona (black mokona) backpack. and we've still got time to wait around. i giggled a little at the thought of having someone in the class go up and pretend to be a teacher, teaching the class. when the actual teacher showed up, what would their reaction be? it may be a little mean to play a prank on the teacher on the first day; but it'd be all in good fun. then again, last time i played a little prank all in good fun, an emt bitch yelled at me.
you see, i was working at a door checking ids. bored out of my mind. so i (and the person working with me) decided that we'd make people do interesting things to get in
