Part 3: The Scientist's Help
The houses in the future are metallic. I rang the doorbell and I could hear the sound from the inside. It made a sound like a robot flying with a jet pack; "BEEP BOOP BEEP WHOOOSH!!!" A scientist came at the door. Surprisingly, the clothes in the future hadn't changed. She was wearing a NASA t-shirt with a white lab coat on top and blue jeans. She had short, brown hair. I told her about my dilemma and she believed me. She said she had felt a change in the space-time continuum because her new invention was showing that there was a disturbance. She probably said a lot of other things that I definitely didn't understand, even though I love science and I found it very interesting. "Wow," I said, "Scientists have discovered a lot of new things in the future." She smiled. "Yes, that's true, but there are still a lot of things to be discovered." I was absolutely amazed. Then we decided that we were digressing and we should get back on topic. She told me that she could easily buy the parts from Amazon. I couldn't believe that Amazon still existed in the future. She went online and went on Amazon and ordered the parts. Then a big black hole appeared out of nowhere. I assumed that it must be a wormhole or portal. Then a bunch of machine parts came out of the wormhole. Then Gracie said: "Oh no." "What's wrong?" I asked her. She said that I needed one more thing for the machine. It was a element called alumnae. She said that I would need to go to the outskirts of the city to find it and that it was under a waterfall. This was all up to me now. I needed to find that alumnae.
