Writing A Happy Ending

Reluctantly i opened my e-mail address and e-mailed this Mr.Chadwick to embarrassingly admit to a total stranger that i needed help.

Mr. Chadwick,
My name is Francine Pinheiro. I am a student in professor Carderelli's Shakespeare literature class. Lately i have been having slight trouble grasping the "essence" of Shakespere's sonnets. Due to that fact Mr.Carderelli kindly gave me your contact infomation. i would be grateful if you would find the time to assist me during your busy day.
Sincerely, Francine Pinheiro

I was over at Jerry's place, trying desperately not to think about the computer i had left home on my desk. I took another swig of my beer trying to forget about the hollow shell of a character i created that was nothing but an imitation of the girl i met in jerry's class. i couldn't stop thinking about her and i didn't know why. She just had that presence that captured me and drew me in. i know if i could make her live on paper she would draw reader's into her world the same way she did to me. the only problem was i knew nothing about her. I've pressed and badgered Jerry about her since that day but everything i hear about her is minimal. "What do you expect me to tell you Ray?" Jerry'd say in exasperation."She shows up and turns in her work other than that she's like a ghost in my room, completely withdrawn. She says nothing and i'm not going to ask her for her background story just for your sake." he'd tell me over and over again, until i had no choice but to stop asking.
That's why it particularly surprised me when he called me over to his place Friday evening. "Take a look." he said handing me a piece of paper with one line on it. "It looks like your prayers have finally been answered and your muse gave you something you can use. I had them write sonnets for a portion of class because i was so tired from the night before, and that's what your girl Francine wrote.
The paper read:'i need you- i want to- please, love me.' My jaw dropped in surprise, and i shivered with excitement. I finally had something that told me a little about this mysterious character. she wants to be loved- no. she needs love. but why? a million more questions unfold in my head. Was she lonely? Who wouldn't love her? What happended to her friends and family? Why couldn't she finish the sonnet?
