Her Scars 1
I glare at him as he grins at me, trying my hardest not to smile or ogle his perfect face. "Just sleep." I mumble, stealing a pillow and throwing it on the end of the bed.
"As you wish." Harrison replies quietly, mimicking Westley from The Princess Bride as he pulls separate blankets over each of us.

Rolling over, I try to push the blankets off, but my foot comes in contact with something very solid. I hear a groan and sit up straight, forcing my eyes to focus on a very startled boy staring up at me.
"Jeez, River, you kick like a horse..." He mumbles, rubbing his chin where my foot landed.
I survey the red mark on his chin and slap my hand over my mouth to force back the giggles that are bubbling up in my throat, as he glowers at me.
"I'm sorry!" I finally say, scooting up so I can survey his chin more closely. "I forgot to tell you that I'm a restless sleeper..."
He yawns tiredly, "Well, your feet in my face did a pretty good job of telling me. The whole time we were sleeping."
My face grows hot at his words. Had my feet really been in his face the whole night? That sounds just like me, moving from one awkward situation to the next in a matter of hours.
"What time is it anyway?" I question, hoping to take his mind away from the embarrassment that seems to follow me wherever I go.
Harrison shrugs; face scrunching up in thought. "Dunno. Why don't you ask your trusty, rusty iPod?" He suggests.
"Hey! It's not rusty." I defend, childishly sticking my tongue out at him.
I reach under the pillow he'd given me earlier and yank my iPod out, unlocking it so I can check the time. To my utter dismay, the only thing that pops up is the "Connect to Power" icon.
"Crap," I mutter, flopping back down, "the battery's dead."
Before Harrison gets a chance to reply, a loud banging sound stops us both dead in our tracks. I stare at the door handle, expecting someone to barge in at any second, furious about something I've done, but to my surprise I only hear Ginger's annoyed voice coming through the thick wood of the door.
"Harrison James!" She yells from the other side of the door. "Get your lazy butt out of bed. It's nearly one, and I can't find River!"
