I think that there is no better feeling than the sun on your face in the morning. An early winter morning in particular, when everything is so cold, but your sheets are so warm and the sun is so welcoming. And your thoughts are so sleepy, but you smile as you're thinking them. It's the epitome of contentment. Your day has all the promise (or all the possibility of failure), but in your little world you have no awareness of it yet. Then 10:30 hits. And it's all over.

But the good news is that it is currently 2:54 AM... 3 hours or so until then. So for now, I sit in the hardbacked wooden chair of work and responsibility. But when the sun starts to rise, I will enter my cocoon, and see the world through sleepy, blurred rose-colored glasses.
