"So you have your new schedule then" added Diane.
"Yes. I just got it off the internet before I came out here. Don't worry, the school put me in some challenging classes," replied Andie while walking to and opening the refrigerator to grab a bottle of water.
"Your mother & I just want what's best for you. Those challenging classes will pay off when you get into a good college." said Darryl firmly.
"I know that, but it's my sophomore year. I doubt the other sophomores are taking hard classes." Andie said while picking at her chipped hot pink nail polish.
"You're not like the other kids in your grade. You have even said so yourself, over and over." stated Diane coolly.

Andie hated when her parents were right. She also hated lying to herself, which she was when she said that she didn't want to take challenging courses. Andie wanted nothing more than to get out of that small town. She wanted to go onto a four year university, not the small community college that was 20 minutes away from her house. Andie had big dreams for herself, and she knew that they would all become reality. Little did she know though, those big dreams were going to become reality soon, but first they were going to crumble.
