Chapter 1
Gorgeous blond waves of hair blew around as Andie hurried up the steps of the porch with several boxes in her hand.
"It's good to be home," Andie said as she handed the boxes to her mom as she opened the door.
"Yes it is. Are you excited to get back to school and see all of your friends", Diane, Andie's mother asked.
"Yes and no. I wish I could just fast forward 3 years so that I could be graduating," replied Andie.
"Don't rush your youth" chimed Diane & Darryl- Andie's father- in unison.
As Andie walked down the hall to her room, she wondered what school would be like. She had several mini episodes running through her head, and every single one ended the same. Everyone asking her about her problem. She hoped that maybe people had forgotten all about it. Maybe she could just go to school tomorrow and start with a fresh slate. After all, it had been a year. And as far as Andie was concerned she had changed a lot.
Darryl & Diane were in the kitchen making dinner together. Something they had been doing almost every night for the past few months. It was a way for them to spend more time together & strengthen their marriage.
"Do you think Andie's really ready for this," asked Darryl.
Diane replied, "Yes I do. She's a lot stronger now than she ever has been."
"True, but aren't you the least bit scared for her?" offered Darryl.
Just as Diane began to reply, Andie walked into the kitchen.
"Do you need any help with dinner?" Andie asked.
"You can set the table" said Diane walking towards Andie with the plates.
"So Andie, what are you looking forward to the most about tomorrow?" asked Darryl.
Andie set down the last plate as she carefully replied "I'm not really sure yet. I guess I'm looking forward to seeing everybody & meeting my new teachers."
