Chapter 3
It was lunch time. Andie could not believe how fast her first day seemed to be going. Everyone was really nice to her and she had several invites to sit with different people at lunch. She had to turn them down though because she had already promised Meg that she would sit with her.
"Ready to go eat?" Meg asked inching her way towards Andie.
"Yes I am" Andie replied. "Are you buying lunch or..."
Before Andie could finish her sentence Meg had already cut in "No. I brown bag everyday. I don't trust cafeteria food."
"I think I might just grab a salad, so save me a seat." Andie said while pulling money out of her wallet."
Andie pulled a Caesar Salad off the line. She had decided it looked decent enough to eat and she was starving.
"Eating lunch by yourself or with friends?" Asked a familiar, manly voice.
Andie's heart was practically beating out of her chest when she turned to see who it was. So badly did she want to say she was eating by herself but instead she responded "I'm eating with Meg."
"That's cool. I just thought that you might want to eat someplace more quiet. Which is why I was going to invite you to have lunch with me in my classroom, where we could get to know each other better," replied Mr.Pinzien with a smile.
Andie walked over to the table where Meg was sitting at. She explained that she was having a hard time understanding the history lesson they had learned today, and that Mr.Pinzien had offered to help her out during lunch.
