I was walking back to my chambers last night when I heard a strange noise. I was
more than confused as it was quite late in the hour. Normally, whenever there is
any noises or anything, it is normally Alexander in his lab. But, this since late
was the hour. It sounded as if someone was screaming. Screaming as if they were
being tortured. It was a woman's voice if it helps any. But, when I heard that
loud scream, I admit that I stopped and was startled. I let out a gasp and nearly
dropped the candle I was so carefully cradling in my hands. It seemed as if it
lasted quite a while and even after it ended I still remained frozen. My heart
beat had quickened and after a few minutes, though it seemed it lasted for a
while, I finally overcame my shock. It could only be shock as I felt as if quite
a lot of time had passed. I was still rather shaken after and trembling just a
bit I decided to investigate the sound. Taking a few shaky steps forward, I
slowly made my way to where I thought the sound was. I should probably mention
that this all happened on the way to my bedroom. Which happens to be in a long
hallway. However, there are little doors on the side so it's quite barren. But,
the scream sounded as if it was at the end of hall. Once I reached the end, it
split like a y. I called out and asked if there was anyone there. I stood there
for a while more before receiving no answer. Confused and a little anxious, I
didn't want around too long. I must confess that I was a little afraid. Who hear
such screams in the night? Not only that but who hears such screams from which
seem to come out of nowhere? Only the crazy and demented. After hearing no more
noise, I decided to simply continue on returning to my chambers. I walked rather
faster than normal and shut the door quickly and loudly. I know though that
Alexander wouldn't be working so late and I also know that Alexanders' lab is too
far away from my bedroom for me to hear such things. I will ask Alexander
tomorrow, first thing at breakfast.

It's in the noon now. I had a hard time falling asleep last night. Hearing that
scream had disturbed me and when I finally did fall asleep it was of the most
disturbing. In my dream, I was walking down the hall. It was an exact replica of
what happened last night. Except, instead of going back to my chambers, I
continued on. However, the hallway didn't split up into two more hallways.
Instead there was a door in its place. I opened it and walked through. It was a
giant room. There was hardly any light except a single candle, which was placed
