Poems and stories
I have a book to return
with a name that isn't mine
scribbled proud on the cover
a Hollywood handprint sign
if only it were worth as much

as what it meant when you were mine,
But in choosing not to return
I was given the clearest sign
This would never amount to much;
content is worse than the cover

Petty sayings don't mean much
fancy awards serve as cover
costs, once turned stupid, no return
to make incoherent sign
adequate doctrine of mine.
